"Pulling Down Strong Holds and Building Up Relationships" (2 Co. 10:3-8)
Very closely related to
evangelism is missions, which is essentially the same thing, but
I have listed these under separate headings:
We need to make monthly contributions to our National Foreign Mission work. Some day we can do much more by having a closer contact with the foreign mission field.
We need to make monthly contributions to our National Home Mission Board. We must also seek here in our District and State to support available ministries.
We also see our mission doing regular nursing home and hospital visits. I do not conceive of this as the work of just a few members, but I envision the total church involved in missions. There is a wide range of needs and everybody could work in the area where they feel most comfortable. In addition to these listed above, there can be teams that contact new people in the community, former members, Sunday School absentees, recruiters for Sunday School, and many others. There is much that needs to be done and each member can find his place where he feels led of the Lord.
