Kingdom Building
"Pulling Down Strong Holds and Building Up Relationships" (2 Co. 10:3-8)
This is a crucial hour in the life of the church today. We live
in the best of times! We must understand that this is not because
of the great technologies of our day. We have been told by many
of our local and national religious leaders that we are now at
this moment facing religious toleration, yet there are many
Christians that cannot and will not believe this, while all they
need is to look around them and see that we as Christians are
facing some difficult times, especially concerning our faith.
Considering all this, we still have a foundation to stand on and
build our future, as we read in I Corinthians 3:10, 11:
"According
to the grace of God which is given unto
me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation,
and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take
heed how he buildeth thereupon."
For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is
Jesus Christ.
"KINGDOM BUILDING" will be the theme of Antioch Baptist Church for the years to come, for our emphasis will be solely on the advancing of the Kingdom of God. That means we must start with ourselves and build from there, as is reflected in our church mission statement, church values, and church prayer list.
I believe that the key to a program of "Kingdom Building" is that we know the foundation that is laid for us, which is Jesus Christ. So as pastor I will share with you what the Lord has impressed upon me as his servant. Let us embark together to fulfill the perfect will of God, remembering always to give God the glory.
The ministry that we
will establish will take a considerable amount of work. The
vision is accomplishable as we put our trust in our God who goes
before us and prepares the way. Kingdom building is a
three-pronged assault on the inward and outward condition of sin
in our community. Our efforts must center around Dynamic Worship,
Ministries, and Social Services.
